A Shocking Realization
Perusing my video collection, I was watching the Battlestar Galactica miniseries (the one from 2003, the prelude to the current series) I noticed the below sight. Picture accidentally deleted
For those of you who’ve ever seen Firefly or Serenity will notice the Firefly class vessel flying across the screen. Serenity??? On Caprica??? Just before the Cylon attack??? After some research I...

Merry Christmas!
Yesterday was yet another busy day for me. I had lunch with a girl I’ve not seen in ages and her mother. When my dad was sick and spent a lot of time in the hospital at U of M, I stayed with this family. After my dad died we kind of lost touch with each other until recently so it was really nice to see them again. We talked about the “good old days” and got caught up and...

525,600 Minutes
Yesterday was a pretty busy day for me. I ran into my old tennis coach at breakfast, he’s looking a bit ragged. We talked briefly before I left, mostly small talk. I’ve been to Walmart 3 times today to get various items for decorating my office and you can’t help but be inundated with the commercialism inherent in the American institution of Christmas. This...

We are not amused
Sony (which I’ve ranted about) recently released a patch to “fix” their DRM/rootkit issue, unfortunately it has been found that the patch creates even more vulnerabilities on the machine it is applied to. The EFF is urging people to NOT apply the patch and prodding Sony to conduct a recall on all affected products. This just goes to show how out of control the whole “battle...

Regret…
Everyone always expects something from you. Seriously, think back and try and remember the last friend you had that didn’t expect something from you, that was your friend just because. I’d put a dollar down for everyone that reads this getting all the way back to childhood before finding that friend. Some of us are lucky and are still friends with those childhood friends we had. Which...
